Water is a natural resource which is indispensable for the living world. It is one of the most important resources for survival of the hunam beings. Water is used in domestic, industrial, agricultural, recreational and environmental activites. Present paper analysis the distribution of water resources in Meerut city. Regional distribution of water resources is analyzed with the help of primary and secondary data. Two sources of water have been found in our study area i.e., Surface and Ground water. The only two important surface water resources in the city are the Upper Ganga Canal and Pond. Water is being supplied by various sources of underground water in the city. These sources are hand pump, Tube wells, Over Head Tanks and Underground water tanks (NNM, 2020).
