Synthesis and characterizations of the graphene-doped Cu-based MOF for certain efficient perovskite solar cells

The development of highly efficient and stable Perovskite Solar Cells (PSCs) is currently hindered by rapid charge recombination and limited long-term stability. In this study, recently synthesized Graphene Oxide Doped Copper Metal–Organic Framework (GO/Cu-MOF) binary nanocomposites were employed as electrode materials to enhance the performance of PSCs. The GO/Cu-MOF nanocomposite was prepared through a simple solvothermal method and introduced to improve electron injection, optical absorption and surface stability of the photoanode. The combination of GO with Cu-MOF provided a large surface area, abundant active sites and better charge transport, effectively reducing electron recombination and limiting PbFormula: see text leakage from the perovskite layer. Structural, optical and thermal properties were analyzed using XRD, SEM, FTIR, UV–Vis and TGA techniques. The fabricated device achieved a Power Conversion Efficiency (PCE) of 17.25%, demonstrating a significant enhancement compared to conventional PSCs. These results indicate that GO/Cu-MOF nanocomposites serve as promising electrode materials for improving the efficiency and stability of PSCs and may guide future research on MOF-based photovoltaic applications.
