In the respective domain of logistics and supply chain, cold chain logistics plays a pivotal role as a post-production supply chain for imported frozen fish products which involves preserving and maintaining its integrity and ideal condition throughout the supply chain. Hence, this study seeks to provide an overview of cold chain logistics and factors influencing the adoption of imported frozen fish products in Nigeria. This exploratory study employed a qualitative research design to obtain data. The purposive sampling technique was adopted for the study, while primary data was gathered through an in-depth interview with six senior managers from five major fish-importing firms operating in Lagos, Nigeria. From interviews conducted, the factors influencing the cold chain adoption of imported frozen fish were identified which are as follows policy and regulation, level of infrastructure and technology adoption. Finally, this study suggests a collaborative effort from the government and all stakeholders in the fish import industry to ensure a seamless and efficient adoption of cold chain logistics for imported frozen fish in Nigeria.
