This booklet is a deliverable of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Mother Earth research project (Grant Agreement No. 101110520), which examines the effects of environmental degradation on indigenous peoples and Afro-descendant communities. It presents the narratives of two communities visited by the researcher of the project in the form of adapted children's tales. Through accessible and imaginative storytelling, the publication aims to foster an understanding of the deep interconnections between people and nature. It highlights how communities coexist with their environments and explains why protecting this relationship is important. This publication is intended for a broad audience, including children, educators, families and anyone interested in environmental awareness, cultural heritage and community-based perspectives on ecological care. The booklet also has a version in Portuguese (10.5281/zenodo.18184732) and Spanish (10.5281/zenodo.18184860). Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Research Executive Agency (REA). Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
