A study of Male Images in Female-Dominated Narrative: take Her Story as an Example

In the field of domestic film and television, the emergence of "Female-Centric" works has promoted the rise of female roles, but the deep shaping of male images is often marginalized. Shao Yihui's Her story breaks through the convention and deeply analyses the complex performance of male roles in gender transformation from the perspective of Shanghai drifters. In the film, the contradictory behavior of the ex-husband, the self-struggle of the Ma and the unconscious conspiracy of the band members all show the multifaceted male image. Through the analysis of Her story, this paper discusses the complexity of male images, the modern disguise of patriarchy,The realistic path of gender equality provides a new perspective for the study of male roles in female-dominated narratives and helps to understand the dynamic changes of contemporary gender power relations.
