This report describes a left inferior vena cava (LIVC) found during the dissection of an 85-year-old female cadaver, a rare anatomical variation with a prevalence of 0.05% to 0.69%. The LIVC ascended on the left of the abdominal aorta before crossing to the right to continue as the typical inferior vena cava. Notable variations were observed in the iliac venous system and renal vessels. Awareness of such anatomical variations is crucial for accurate diagnosis and to prevent complications during abdominal surgeries, emphasizing the importance of thorough preoperative planning and imaging.
