This research synthesis explores the intersection of cognitive science, sociology, and fiscal policy to evaluate the erosion of religious dominance in developing states, specifically Nigeria. We posit that religious influence is a function of “existential precariousness” and “intuitive cognitive bias.” By comparing the secularization trajectory of South Korea with the religious resilience of Nigeria, we identify the primary “fault lines” in the Nigerian state. Finally, we propose a scientific roadmap using redirected fuel subsidy savings to stabilize Nigeria’s Human Capital Index (HCI) through bio-fortification, digital STEM education, and AI-driven healthcare.
