In this paper, the authors attempted to study the influence of study habits and learning styles on the academic performance of the pre-service teachers. A randomly chosen group of 200 pre-service teachers who were undergoing teacher education courses in the academic year 2022–23 at various teacher education institutions affiliated with Manipur University have agreed to participate in a survey done during January–March 2023. The tools used were Study Habit Inventory developed by M. Mukhopadhyay and D.N. Sansanwal (2015), and the Grasha-Riechmann Student Learning Styles Scale (GRLSS) developed by Grasha and Riechmann (1975, 1989). The results revealed that pre-service teachers who belong to outstanding, very good, and good category accounted for 94.50 %. The results also revealed that pre-service teachers have a medium degree of study habits. The results revealed that there was a significant influence of both study habits and learning styles on the academic performance of student-teachers.
