The paper presents the results of geochemical and microprobe studies of two peat sections of the Lower Amur region: the Tyapka and Vlasevsky, located in the zone of influence of the Belaya Gora gold deposit. The aim of the research is to obtain data on the concentration of gold in peats in the catchment area of ore gold-bearing objects in order to evaluate the use of research results as a search indicator for ore gold and peat deposits themselves as a source of gold. The research has established that peat deposits can be a source of gold with a content of up to 1 g/t and possibly more; the study of peat deposits for precious metals content can be used as an additional criterion for the search for gold-bearing ore objects located in the terrigenous erosion zone of the studied peatlands.
