The study aims to analyze the impact of TPB constructs on the intention to purchase secondhand smartphone. Moreover, the influence of perceived risks and perceived sustainability on the attitude toward secondhand smartphone purchase has been tested. Additionally, serial mediation influence of perceived sustainability and attitude between perceived risk and intention has also been investigated. Data has been collected from two universities through the distribution of online questionnaire. The number of respondents was 700. The proposed hypotheses have been tested through structural equation modeling (SEM) and Process macro model. The study has found significant influence of attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on the intention to purchase secondhand smartphone. Moreover, attitude mediates the influence of perceived sustainability on the intention to purchase secondhand smartphone. The impact of perceived risk on the intention has also been serially mediated through perceived sustainability and attitude. However, the moderating impact of materialism and income on the relationship between attitude and intention to purchase secondhand smartphone has been found insignificant.
