Abstract

This study focuses on understanding the saving habits and awareness of different saving options among Generation Z individuals in Bengaluru. It also examines how demographic factors such as age, gender, income, and education influence their saving behaviour. The research is based on primary data collected from 408 respondents through a structured questionnaire. Statistical tools like the Chi-square test and Kruskal–Wallis test were used for analysis. The results show that most Gen Z individuals are aware of saving options and regularly save a part of their income, mainly for future security and emergencies. The study concludes that financial literacy plays an important role in improving saving habits among young individuals.
