This short paper offers a reflection on the impact of astronomy and space research on society, taking a 1967 NASA publication as its starting point.Through several case studies, it analyzes how technologies developed for very specific scientific needs have led to concrete, sometimes unexpected, applications in other fields.This paper is presented as independent research, with the aim of offering a first documented piece of research on this topic. - Questo lavoro propone una riflessione sugli effetti della ricerca astronomica e spaziale sulla società, prendendo come punto di partenza una pubblicazione NASA del 1967.Attraverso alcuni casi studio, analizza come tecnologie nate per esigenze scientifiche molto specifiche abbiano prodotto applicazioni concrete, talvolta inattese, in altri ambiti.Il contributo è presentato come ricerca indipendente, con l’obiettivo di offrire un primo tassello documentato su questo tema.
