As an intangible cultural heritage, Miaodigou painted pottery holds cultural significance and aesthetic value that plays a unique role in fostering children's cognitive, emotional, and creative development. Current kindergarten art curricula face challenges such as monotonous teaching methods, insufficient exploration of cultural value, inadequate teacher competence, and scarce educational resources. This paper explores the educational significance of Miaodigou pottery clay in clay sculpture art for fostering children's cultural identity, promoting holistic development, and enhancing aesthetic appreciation and creativity. It proposes integrating Miaodigou pottery culture into kindergarten art curricula through improving teacher expertise, establishing a systematic clay sculpture curriculum framework, and strengthening collaboration among families, kindergartens, and society.
