Abstract

ABSTRACT 1,5,9,13‐Tetraazacyclohexadecane (16aneN 4 ) is a well‐known macrocyclic tetraamine. However, not many variations of chiral 16aneN 4 are known. This paper reports the development of an optically active 16aneN 4 having four chiral centers in the skeleton. As an application of the obtained tetraamine, the corresponding Ni complex was synthesized, and its structure was unambiguously confirmed by x‐ray diffraction analysis.
