This study examines gender dynamics in Kenyan political transitions from to , focusing on power and influence within the political sphere. Data was collected from official government documents, interviews with political insiders, and secondary sources such as news articles and academic journals. Qualitative content analysis was employed to interpret the data. Gender disparities were observed in leadership roles, with women holding fewer ministerial positions compared to their male counterparts but having more influence within certain sectors like health and education. The findings suggest that while there has been some progress towards gender equality in political representation, significant challenges persist, particularly in accessing top-tier political offices. Policy recommendations include increasing quotas for women in leadership positions, enhancing training programmes for female politicians, and improving the legal framework to support gender equality initiatives.
