Abstract

This paper explores the conceptual relationships between ‘generations’ and time. It is based on empirical material from Hoyerswerda, previously Germany’s fastest shrinking city, where particular age-groups are united by the demands of a problematic capitalist present. If at all, distinct generations in Hoyerswerda are here constituted by different futurities.
