This study proposes a BIM-based parking design support system that automates estimation of required parking spaces and spatial layout in accordance with regional ordinances. When the user inputs the building location, use, and total floor area, the system automatically retrieves the relevant parking regulations and calculates both general and accessible parking spaces for per- sons with disabilities. Using a predefined BIM design library, the system can be linked to retrieve candidate building models based on building area and core layout type to support early- stage design review. In this paper, the main focus is placed on the reproducible rule-based parking calculation logic and the automatic parking layout generation under practical constraints. The proposed system integrates (i) an ordinance-based parking-demand calculation module and (ii) a Rhino/Grasshopper-based parking layout generation workflow linked to BIM data. A case study with 55 BIM models shows that the proposed workflow achieves full ordinance compliance and can improve parking capacity in early-stage planning. The BIM library linkage is presented as a prototype-level support function, and extensive usability evaluation and recommendation performance assessment are left for future work.
