Equatorial Guinea is an oil-rich nation in West Africa with a growing business sector. Despite its economic potential, sustainable development remains a challenge. A mixed-methods study combining interviews and surveys to understand stakeholder perceptions of sustainability practices and their effectiveness. Interview data revealed a significant proportion (60%) of businesses reported adopting sustainable practices, primarily focusing on energy efficiency and waste management. Sustainable development in Equatorial Guinea's business sector is evolving but faces challenges related to regulatory frameworks and stakeholder engagement. Enhanced collaboration between government, NGOs, and private sectors is recommended for more effective implementation of sustainable practices.
