# The Tipping Point of H200: How Gallium Nitride Will End the Hegemony of Silicon-Based Semiconductors This paper analyzes the triple bottlenecks of power consumption, cost, and physical limits faced by silicon-based semiconductors, represented by NVIDIA's H200 server. Taking the full lifecycle cost as the core framework, we calculate the "cost tipping point" at which gallium nitride (GaN) can replace silicon-based chips through precise measurements of power consumption, electricity costs, depreciation, and operation and maintenance expenses. We further demonstrate the performance advantages of GaN in high-density computing and extreme scenarios through 3D packaging and specialized potting technology, breaking the stacking limit of silicon-based chips. The core conclusion shows that GaN has comprehensive advantages in long-term cost, energy efficiency, and scenario adaptability, marking the beginning of the end for silicon-based semiconductor hegemony. Note: All cost calculations in this paper are in Chinese Yuan (CNY), with an industrial electricity price of 0.8 CNY per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
