The results of studying the “genetic landscape” of the population of Belgorod oblast on the basis of anthroponymic data and its variability from 1999 to 2019 are presented. Over a 20-year period, a trend has been observed in the change in genetic differentiation of a group of districts in the eastern part of the oblast (Volokonovsky, Valuysky, Krasnogvardeysky, Alekseevsky districts), which have genetically moved away from the southeastern cluster (2 districts) and have become genetically closer to the districts of the central (11 districts) part of the oblast. This trend is based on a change in the frequency of surnames in these districts due to the preservation of the largest migration influx into the districts of this group at the present time, in contrast to other districts of the oblast, as well as a decrease in the role of geographic distances in genetic differentiation.
