Comprehensive Analysis of the Business Prospectus and Strategic Partnership of PT Sinergi Mitra Lestari Indonesia with PT Bukit Asam Tbk

This study, entitled "Operational Transformation through Shared Service Center: A Strategic Symbiosis Analysis of PT Sinergi Mitra Lestari Indonesia and PT Bukit Asam Tbk in the Mining 4.0 Ecosystem," explores the paradigm shift within Indonesia's extractive industry, wherein the consolidation of support functions through a Shared Service Center (SSC) has evolved from mere administrative support into a critical strategic business architecture. The primary focus of the analysis is directed toward the strategic partnership between PT Sinergi Mitra Lestari Indonesia (Sinergi ID) as a Global Business Services (GBS) provider and PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) under the auspices of the Mining Industry State-Owned Enterprise Holding, MIND ID. Employing a strategic management approach and a literature review on cost efficiency, this manuscript dissects in depth the four pillars of Sinergi ID's operational capabilities: logistics management, information and communication technology (ICT), integrated waste management, and human resource management. This analysis is substantiated by empirical data derived from interim consolidated financial reports for the 2024–2025 period and asset fair value evaluations to demonstrate investment effectiveness and the stability of related-party transactions. The findings indicate that this synergy acts as a primary catalyst accelerating PTBA's transformation towards Smart Mining and Sustainable Mining practices through the integration of the CISEA (Corporate Information System and Enterprise Application) digital infrastructure and adherence to international quality standards, including ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management Systems), ISO 27001 (Information Security Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems). This collaboration not only enhances operational efficiency and cost optimization but also fortifies governance frameworks and supports the national strategic agenda for mining industry decarbonization, positioning both entities at the forefront of Indonesia's transition toward a sustainable and technologically advanced mining ecosystem.
