Responsibility Towards Compensating Victims of Human Rights Violations

Contemporary international and humanitarian events are critical milestones in the development of international law, as international funds have influenced the reshaping of many legal and political concepts. International practices have led to the crystallization of new concepts, especially with regard to the internationalization of human rights. With the increasing targeting of civilians in armed conflicts and the commission of crimes against vulnerable groups, it has become necessary to reconsider the sovereignty of traditional states that limit interference in internal affairs. Therefore, it has become important to develop international law and its implementation mechanisms to keep pace with the rapid changes in the world.The study of the responsibility to compensate victims of human rights violations essentially requires adopting a legal approach based on analyzing international and national legal texts, in addition to an analytical approach that focuses on analyzing and discussing jurisprudential opinions. The descriptive approach will also be used to explain the obligation to compensate victims, and also to describe and clarify concepts and terms, as well as to provide an overview of the main theses and developments in this field.
