Key Points

  • Evaluate the PIV score's predictive impact on survival outcomes in extensive-stage SCLC patients treated with atezolizumab.
  • Evaluated pretreatment Pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV) score
  • Compared overall survival rates between patients receiving atezolizumab and platinum-based chemotherapy
  • Analyzed the correlation between PIV score and patient survival outcomes.
  • Patients treated with atezolizumab had improved survival compared to chemotherapy alone.
  • Higher PIV scores were associated with better survival outcomes.
  • The study highlights the potential of PIV score as a biomarker for optimizing treatment strategies.

Abstract

The addition of Atezolizumab to platinum-based chemotherapy showed an improvement of the overall survival versus chemotherapy alone. However, studies focusing on predictive biomarkers to optimize patient selection and treatment strategies is needed. Therefore, our study aimed to evaluate the predictive impact for the pretreatment Pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV) score on survival outcomes in ES-SCLC.
