Abstract BACKGROUND The integration of a solid‐state microwave (MW) generator into a newly designed, versatile MW reactor ensures improved energy efficiency, precise process control and broader application potential. In its most particular feature, the device supports the modification of dielectric‐radiation orientation and can be operated under various configurations, granting optimal performance across a range of conditions. RESULTS Multiple set‐ups have been investigated in order to study the versatility of the system. Cannabis‐inflorescence and tea waste extraction have been investigated and compared with conventional batch methods, while synthetic procedures have been assessed in both batch and flow (loop and flow‐through) modes. The goal of this preliminary investigation was to test a few parameters, such as flow rate, temperature and catalyst loading, aiming to ensure high yields and minimize energy consumption. The efficiency of flow‐through‐mode extraction has been evaluated for tea waste extraction, with excellent results. Additionally, three reactions have been successfully carried out: an esterification, a ketalization and a reactive‐distillation‐assisted one‐pot ring‐opening/esterification. All reactions provided promising outcomes, highlighting the versatility and effectiveness of the developed MW system. CONCLUSION These preliminary results confirm the potential of the solid‐state MW‐assisted system as a powerful and versatile platform for efficient extraction and chemical transformations on a small scale. Future work will further optimize parameters and design the scale‐up. © 2026 The Author(s).
