Abstract

磐梯火山南西麓に分布する3層の岩屑なだれ堆積物(下位から翁島岩屑なだれ堆積物,磐根岩屑なだれ堆積物,古観音岩屑なだれ堆積物),流れ山,および火山体を対比した.流れ山の縦断分布特性は,給源からの距離7 kmを境に変化し,7 km以内の流れ山は分布とサイズに基づきGroup A,Group Bに細分される.翁島岩屑なだれ堆積物(46 ka),磐根岩屑なだれ堆積物,Group A,Group Bの岩石学的特徴は磐梯火山新期火山体と類似し,層序,分布,岩石学的特徴から,給源から7 km以遠の流れ山が翁島岩屑なだれ堆積物と,Group Aが磐根岩屑なだれ堆積物と対比される.一方,Group Bが対比される岩屑なだれ堆積物は見出されていない.古観音岩屑なだれ堆積物(18~17 ka)の岩石学的特徴は,すでに活動を停止していた猫魔火山新期火山体と類似し,これに対比される流れ山は見当たらない.
