INTRODUCTION: There are a variety of fertility -sparing treatment options of a cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy. However, in patients who do not desire future fertility, a hysterectomy can be considered a first-line treatment. OBJECTIVE: In this patient, a hysterectomy was performed for the treatment of the cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy. METHODS: N/A. RESULTS: Multiple steps were taken to optimize safety throughout this case, including the use of intraoperative ureteral stents, taking the uterine arteries at their origin to minimize bleeding, using a blunt vaginal probe instead of a uterine manipulator, and backfilling the bladder to identify its borders. CONCLUSIONS: Through this video, we demonstrate how a hysterectomy can be safely performed as a first-line treatment of a cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy.
