This rapid review aims to give an overview of bioresorbable materials currently researched and used to 3D print scaffolds using material extrusion in the field of maxillofacial surgery, as well as their current application. These may include bone replacement materials used for example in trauma and tumor surgery, as well as materials for osteosynthesis or vertical bone augmentation. We will solely focus on printing methods using filaments.
