This article provides a detailed introduction to the viscoelastic boundary analysis method and presents the implementation process in general finite element software. The floor response spectra of a nuclear safety grade steel stack-type exhaust tower structure under viscoelastic boundary conditions were obtained; By comparing and analyzing the floor response spectrum under viscoelastic boundary conditions and viscous boundary conditions of homogeneous foundation, it can be known that considering the impact of computational assumptions and differences in analysis methods, the two sets of data fit well. This indicates that the viscoelastic analysis method discussed in this paper is applicable to homogeneous sites.
