Purpose This concluding article summarizes the main findings in response to the theme issue strategic question: How can interdisciplinary collaboration in hospitality education integrate diverse domains to foster holistic learning? Design/methodology/approach The conclusion identifies insights on how interdisciplinary collaboration can be incorporated into hospitality education. This paper summarizes key findings and presents industry recommendations. Findings This conclusion highlights emerging issues for hospitality and tourism businesses and includes the role of the industry, institutions and government in improving the possibilities of such inclusion, and innovation to foster a resilient, industry-ready workforce. Practical implications This issue will offer multiple perspectives on various aspects of incorporating an interdisciplinary collaboration into hospitality education and this interdisciplinary exposure provides a wider platform for the stakeholders to get exposed to the critical issues that the industry is facing worldwide and provide resolution for the same. Originality/value This theme issue provides insights from both practitioner’s and academic’s perspectives as to how can interdisciplinary collaboration in hospitality education integrate diverse domains to foster holistic learning?
