In the context of smart governance, supply chains are being reshaped by digital technologies and new management paradigms. However, while emerging tools such as IoT, blockchain, and AI are extensively studied for their operational benefits, the role of justice in enhancing supply chain performance remains underexplored. By examining the ways in which justice—as articulated through distributive, procedural, and interactional dimensions—interacts with smart governance to influence the performance of global supply chains, this study addresses this gap. Drawing on a systematic literature review, the paper proposes a conceptual framework integrating justice and smart government as enablers of supply chain efficiency, responsiveness, and flexibility. The study contributes to the literature by bridging fragmented discussions across organizational justice, digital transformation, and supply chain management, and provides practical insights for managers seeking to align fairness principles with digital innovation. The findings emphasize that equitable treatment and transparent governance are not only ethical imperatives but also strategic levers for superior performance in digitally enabled supply chains.
