This paper developed an Efficient Authentication and Secure Aggregation Protocol (EASAP) for empowering secure communication and user authentication in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET). The proposed method is a combination of the authentication protocol and secure aggregation in VANET. The secure aggregation of communication is achieved with the consideration of Full homomorphic encryption (FHE) in VANET. The message is encrypted with the FHE scheme to improve security and reduce the overhead. In the FHE, the key is generated with the consideration of the Circle-Inspired Optimization Algorithm (CIOA). The authentication process of VANET is achieved by using Timed Efficient Stream Loss-Tolerant Authentication with Cuckoo Filter (TESL-TACF). Hence, this paper enhances the privacy node in the vehicular network with enhanced user authentication and decreased communication overhead. To achieve such concerns in VANETs, FHE, and TESL-TACF are utilized to carry the messages that tend to change with the desired frequency and empower user authentication. The proposed method is implemented in NS2 and performance is evaluated by using performance metrics. It is compared with conventional techniques such as ACO, GA, ECC, Tiny Algorithm, and RSA respectively.
