ABSTRACT Polytrauma refers to multiple traumatic injuries accompanied by systemic physiological responses that may lead to dysfunction or failure of remote organs and vital systems. Patients with severe limb trauma face an increased risk of immediate systemic complications and long-term orthopedic sequelae such as soft-tissue infections, nonunion, and posttraumatic osteoarthritis. Effective management of these patients requires a coordinated multidisciplinary approach, including timely surgical fixation and postoperative physiotherapy. This report highlights the importance of early assessment, organized surgical intervention, and structured physiotherapeutic management in preventing complications and enhancing recovery in a young adult following severe polytrauma.
