Abstract Phase 1 treatment in Class II division 1 malocclusion reduces the risk of incisal trauma. Miniscrews provide absolute anchorage, but their success rate is lower in children due to active bone metabolism. In growing children, miniscrews are placed in the parapalatal area to avoid any developmental disturbances to the mid-palatal suture. This case report demonstrates alignment of a labially displaced upper right central incisor using a palatal miniscrew in a healthy 7-year-old child. This technique prevents round-tripping and shortens treatment duration, which is crucial in children who have difficulty maintaining oral hygiene.
