In just one generation, serious changes have taken place that affect all aspects of human life, including safety. Based on an analysis of scientific and practical discourse, the main requirements for the introduction of innovations in the teaching of safety disciplines in higher education institutions are highlighted. Currently, this is an important component of the training of future teachers of vocational education and technology for professional activity.
