Key Points

  • To investigate the synergistic effects of electroless-deposited tin and polymer layers on lithium dendrite suppression and cycle life.
  • Applied an electroless-deposited Sn layer on Cu foil.
  • Coated with a PAA layer to form ion-conductive LiPAA.
  • Evaluated the performance of the bilayer in lithium deposition.
  • Achieved uniform lithium nucleation due to the Sn layer.
  • LiPAA coating contributed to stable and dense lithium deposition.
  • Completely suppressed dendrite formation through synergistic effects.

Abstract

An electroless-deposited Sn layer on Cu foil ensures uniform Li nucleation, and a PAA coating in-situ forms ion-conductive, mechanically robust LiPAA to homogenize Li + flux. The bilayer synergy achieves dense, stable, dendrite-free Li deposition.
