Background: Normal aging appears to be associated with both structural and functional changes in the brain with cerebral atrophy, neuronal loss, decreases in neurotransmitters, and blood flow reductions. Parkinson disease (PD) is the second-most common neurodegenerative disorder affecting between 2% and 3% of the population aged 65 or older. Exercise is considered to be an important aspect of Parkinson’s management. High-intensity interval training is a low-volume, high-intensity exercise modality consisting of short periods of high-intensity exercise interspersed with periods of rest or active recovery. The aim of this study was to systematically review the effectiveness of high intensity exercises on Parkinson, which is prevalent in the elderly population. Methods: A systematic search of publications was conducted in January 2018–2024 in the following databases: PubMed, CINAHL, MEDLINE, Scopus, and Web of Science. The study was done from September 2024–November 2024. On the basis of eligibility criteria, only seven articles were found, of which only five were included due to full-text availability. Conclusion: This systematic review highlights that high-intensity exercise training demonstrates significant benefits for patients with PD, as evidenced by the findings from randomized controlled trials.
