Low reading attitudes may lead to distant behavior towards reading. Students who are reluctant to read and distance themselves from reading may also develop reading anxiety. It is possible to increase students' attitudes towards reading and reduce reading anxiety by making reading enjoyable. Reading fluency strategies can be effective in this sense. The main purpose of the present study is to examine the effect of reading fluency strategies on increasing reading attitudes and decreasing reading anxiety in primary school students. The quasi-experimental design model, one of the quantitative research methods, was preferred in the current study. The randomly determined research sample consists of 50 students in the experimental (n = 25) and control groups (n = 25). The age group of the research sample is 9. It was concluded that the reading fluency strategies increased the reading attitude level of the students. Reading fluency strategies are determinant in reducing reading anxiety.
