This paper contributes to literature by proposing Temporal Energy (TE) as a fourth fundamental energy type, extending the classical conservation equation for the first time. It provides an energy-based mechanism for time dilation — existing theories describe what time dilation is, but this paper proposes why it happens. It unifies GPS time correction, photon non-aging, black hole time slowdown, and solar clock differences under one framework, identifies three distinct pathways to stop time, introduces original terminology including Temporality and Temporal Gradient, reframes empty space as the largest energy reservoir in existence, proposes a laboratory-testable prediction, and establishes the first ethical framework for temporal energy extraction.
