Abstract

Twelve physiotherapists from around the world with expertise in Inclusion Body Myositis rated ChatGPT's clinical knowledge and exercise prescription for patients with Inclusion Body Myositis. ChatGPT was safe and mostly accurate in exercise prescription for patients with Inclusion Body Myositis. ChatGPT was less accurate when prescribing exercise for patients without antigravity movement, potentially reflecting reduced availability of literature and exercises for this population. Large language models have the potential to be a key tool in exercise prescription in rare disease populations where experts are less accessible, however the clinician will always have ultimate liability for the exercise program they prescribe.
