Histopathological analysis of rare sinonasal tract tumors: a case series with literature review

Abstract Tumors of the sinonasal tract often present with nonspecific symptoms and may be overlooked during initial clinical evaluation. Careful and thorough clinical examination is crucial for detecting these uncommon tumors and achieving early diagnosis, particularly given the complex anatomy of the nasal cavity, where early symptoms can be easily overlooked. Imaging studies play an important role in defining the extent of the lesions. Histopathological examination remains the gold standard for evaluating these tumors, with ancillary techniques such as immunohistochemistry assisting in confirming the diagnosis. In this study, we present our experience with four rare sinonasal tract tumors. All patients underwent surgical resection or excisional biopsy, followed by detailed histopathological and immunohistochemical assessment.
