The Guidelines for Kindergarten Education state that a rich sensibility should be nurtured through encountering beautiful things, excellent things, and moving events while fully engaging with the immediate environment, sharing the impressions gained from these encounters with other children and teachers, and expressing them in a variety of ways. I wondered how well students of childcare listen to the sounds of nature in their daily lives. I report the results of a survey conducted and discussed with students.
