Key Points

  • The aim is to clarify the relationship between two forms of Universal Grid Mechanics and highlight UGM00 as a predictive regime.
  • Develops a freeze-reduction argument from the 16-axiom layer to the five-axiom canon.
  • Proves narrowing results regarding directional-response laws and state memory loading.
  • Establishes a compatibility lemma for local temporal reversal on memory-preserving branches.
  • Identifies cross-scale structural claims linking Axiom 9 to the mass scale identification.
  • Demonstrates that nontrivial directional memory states exclude purely radial response laws.
  • Shows that local temporal reversals can only occur under specific bounded conditions.
  • Clarifies that Axiom 9 validates treating mass scale M0 as an internal identification challenge.
  • Includes criteria for operationalizing falsifiability with defined null outcomes.

Abstract

Universal Grid Mechanics currently exists in two related but differently purposed forms: a frozen five-axiom admissibility canon and an earlier 16-axiom ontological substrate. This paper formalises their relation. Its central claim is that the frozen canon is the minimal derivation-disciplined layer of the theory, while UGM00 is the predictive-resolution regime obtained when the admissible grid is resolved into additional structured constraints that sharpen branch selection, anisotropy, synchronisation, cross-scale coupling, regime transitions, and observational projection. The paper has four structured deliverables. First, it gives a freeze-reduction argument showing how the 16-axiom layer collapses to the five-axiom admissibility canon under a disciplined projection that retains only admissibility-forcing content. Second, it proves a strict narrowing result in the directional-response sector: Proposition 5.4 shows that purely radial response laws are excluded on the class of states with nontrivial directional memory loading, except in the dynamically trivial case. Third, it proves a compatibility lemma showing that local temporal reversal is admissible only as bounded inversion of projected observable order on a memory-preserving branch, and not as ontic erasure, discontinuous rollback, or global undoing of the grid. Fourth, it states a cross-scale bridge structural claim identifying the sense in which Axiom 9 supplies the ontological licence for treating the structural mass scale M0 as an internal identification problem rather than as a free bridge constant. UGM00 should be read not as a competing ontology, but as the high-resolution predictive regime of UGM. The paper includes an explicit 16-row freeze-classification table (Appendix A) and five operationalised falsifiability criteria with stated null outcomes.
