Abstract: This review essay treats three recent rabbinics monographs that engage with trans theory as a core methodology for analyzing rabbinic literature. It reviews each book separately and argues that they jointly contribute to new possibilities in the field, not only by bringing trans theory into conversation with rabbinic literature, but also by subverting traditional genre conventions about what rabbinics monographs ought to do and look like.
