AbstractOpen Educational Resources (OERs) are pivotal in promoting the Open Education Movement, democratizing access to education, and offering customized learning opportunities. This study intends to explore the perceptions of OERs among postgraduates at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, in Karnataka. The researchers adopted a descriptive survey method with a quantitative approach utilizing a questionnaire tool and drew samples through the stratified random sampling technique. The study revealed that most students consistently utilize OERs such as open textbooks, images, and videos. Furthermore, the study identified YouTube, eGyanKosh, and e-PG Pathshala as widely used resources, with students demonstrating awareness of Swayam and MOOCs and expressing interest in receiving training to utilize them. Principal challenges encountered in using OERs effectively among students include a lack of ICT skills, limited access to devices, poor Internet facilities, and insufficient relevant information in OERs. The study implies that academic establishments should offer training and establish standard procedures to integrate OERs into learning-teaching processes as well as promote the development of high-quality, subject-specific OERs.
