This paper proposes that several persistent anomalies in cosmic microwave background measurements — including the quadrupole-octupole alignment known as the axis of evil, the CMB Cold Spot, and the compound anomaly of the Eridanus supervoid — may share a common origin as artifacts of heliospheric wake interference. The heliotail of the solar system, confirmed by NASA's IBEX mission to subtend 40-60 degrees of sky and to exhibit a four-lobed structure geometrically consistent with the CMB quadrupole pattern, is proposed as an unaccounted broadband electromagnetic foreground. The mechanism is distinguished from conventional foreground effects by its non-selective attenuation across all electromagnetic frequencies. Observational tests using existing Gaia, IBEX, and CMB datasets are proposed.
