of case reports.Although anterior AA approaches are considered relatively safe, they face the challenge of anatomical variations in the anterior tibial artery (ATA) that may affect the rates of vascular injury during anterior portal creation and intraoperative manipulation. 6 A PA is caused by an incomplete injury to the arterial wall, resulting in a leakage of blood that is contained by the surrounding tissue.This collection of blood forms a fibrous capsule with IntroductIonAnkle arthroscopy (AA) is a minimally invasive surgical technique widely used by foot and ankle surgeons.AA serves as an essential tool in the diagnosis and treatment of pathology in the foot and ankle joints.Because of the complex anatomy of the ankle, its limited joint space, and its proximity to critical structures, there is a potential for complications associated with surgical manipulation of these areas.This requires a thorough understanding of the extra-articular anatomy to avoid neurovascular, tendon, and articular cartilage injury when creating arthroscopic portals. 1 Lughi et al. found that postarthroscopic complications were associated with factors they classified as nonmodifiable, related to local anatomical elements (e.g., nerves, vessels, and tendons), and modifiable, related to surgical technique (e.g., ankle position, traction, joint distension, and the use and position of motorized instruments). 2With the increased popularity of arthroscopic procedures, reports of complications have increased, ranging from 3.5% to 14%. 3 The most common complication of AA is neurological injury, particularly to the superficial peroneal nerve. 4,5 Pseudoaneurysm (PA) is a rare complication of arthroscopic procedures, with a reported incidence of 0.008%.Most cases involve the popliteal vessels following knee arthroscopy, and the literature on this complication in AA is limited, typically consisting 1-
