Embodied and Interoceptive Morse explores how bodily rhythms can become a language of eXtended Intelligence. The performance consists of two linked zones: encoding and decoding. In the encoding zone, the artist generates Morse code through improvisational drumming and controlled breathing. The decoding area re-embodies these signals using tactile and auditory feedback through novel devices, transforming abstract code into an expressive, multimodal conversation between performer, machine, and audience. A loop of live performances by the artist for the duration of the exhibition will demonstrate the Morse system through each of the interfaces on display. Embodied and Interoceptive Morse reimagines encoding and decoding as an act of care, attention, and reflection rather than efficiency. The work offers a post-screen paradigm for decoding information that foregrounds slowness, co-presence, and sensory reciprocity, resisting acceleration culture and recentering computation in the lived, felt experience of the body.
