• Moderate reduction in quality of life among patients with vascular malformations • Quality of life associated with education, marital status, lesion site, and anxiety • WHOQoL-BREF is applicable for Vietnamese patients with vascular malformations Peripheral vascular malformations are rare congenital anomalies that may cause significant functional impairment and reduced quality of life (QoL). Evidence on the QoL of affected patients, particularly in Vietnam, remains limited. We conducted a pilot case series involving 53 Vietnamese patients aged ≥18 years with confirmed peripheral vascular malformations at the XXX Center Ho Chi Minh City from January to April 2025. QoL was assessed using the WHOQoL-BREF instrument, and associations with sociodemographic and clinical variables were analyzed. The median overall QoL score was 76.5 (IQR, 65.1–85.7), with the highest scores observed in physical health and the lowest in living environment. Educational level, marital status, lesion location, and anxiety were significantly associated with QoL (all P < 0.05). This pilot case series highlights the importance of integrating QoL assessment into clinical management and underscores the need for larger, multicenter studies.
