Abstract Nutrition and food chemistry play a crucial interdisciplinary role in promoting human health and preventing life style-related disorders. In this context, a Food Habit Survey was conducted during National Nutrition Week-2025, which adopted the theme “Eat Right for a Better Life.” The objective of the survey was to evaluate dietary habits, lifestyle patterns, and nutrition awareness among individuals, emphasizing the chemical and nutritional aspects of food consumption and their impact on health. A structured questionnaire was used to collect responses from 40 participants across different age groups. The survey assessed meal patterns, dietary preferences, intake of fruits and vegetables, consumption of processed and junk foods, water intake, physical activity, and awareness of balanced nutrition. The findings indicate that while a majority of participants follow regular meal patterns and possess basic knowledge of healthy diets, a noticeable reliance on processed and calorie-dense foods persists. Variations in hydration habits and physical activity levels were also observed, reflecting lifestyle diversity. The results highlight the need for integrating nutritional chemistry, food science, and public health education to promote sustainable dietary practices. This study underscores the relevance of interdisciplinary approaches in addressing nutritional challenges and emphasizes the role of nutrition awareness programs in improving food choices and overall well-being. The survey supports the seminar theme by demonstrating how chemistry-based understanding of food and nutrients can contribute to healthier lifestyles and informed dietary decisions.
