This paper examines the latest legislative and policy developments around competition in the technology sector, for three of the largest countries and coalitions of countries on the planet, China, the USA and the European Union. It examines China's rapid growth in technology over the past few decades and what has contributed to it, as well as its long-term goals and aspirations. Interprets the reactions of the US governments to this rapid development and examines the country's legislative initiatives for the development of modern technologies in the international environment. For the European Union, it tries to analyze the impact these international developments had on it, as a whole and also as member states, as well as the legislative initiatives it took for its own technological development, reaching a series of useful conclusions.
